Well friends, Shark Week is over for the year. We’re all sad and blue and now have nothing of lasting value to watch on our 3,000 cable or satellite channels, so what ever shall we do with our time? Why, look at pictures of weird sharks, of course! That should hold us over until next summer when Shark Week returns. As you know, Shark Week is that special time of year when we tune in to The Discovery Channel as often as possible for new and stunning underwater photography and video of the world’s most dangerous ocean predators at work, swimming the earth’s waters and devouring huge amounts of fish as they go. The most exciting and thrilling parts of course are those close calls between Man and Shark, when some overly brave diver in a yellow metal shark cage gets too daring and finds himself looking down the gullet of a 300 lb Great White Shark that is not in the best mood. But what about all those other sharks in the ocean that we hardly ever get to see? There are so many species and varieties out there. This infographic gives you an inside look at some cool facts about sharks you aren’t likely to encounter during Shark Week. Click to expand, and happy learning!
